The Contec® Peroxide Residue Test Strips are designed to detect the presence of free peroxide residues, such as hydrogen peroxide, percarbonate, perborates, and peracides on surfaces prior to application of antimicrobials and cleaners, as a means of preventing adverse reactions between opposing chemistry. The Peroxide Residue Test Strip can detect peroxide on most surfaces or materials commonly found in residential, institutional, and commercial buildings at levels ranging from 0-400ppm. Our Peroxide Residue Test Strips are ideal for use prior to applying EPA-registered disinfectants and sanitizers during mold remediation, flood/water damage clean up, sewage backflow clean up, trauma scene cleaning, or just about any application where caution should be exercised to prevent unwanted chemical reactions that can affect the performance of a cleaning/sanitizing agent.

Our Peroxide Residue Test Strips are so easy to use, anyone can do it! Just moisten the test strip detector pad with bottled drinking water or sterile water, touch the pad to the test surface or material for 10 seconds, then wait 60 seconds and compare the color of the pad to the Pass-Fail color chart on the container. It’s just that simple – results in less than two minutes.
